"Our style is best described as elegant funk. Although our client list includes visiting luminaries and those on Houston's A-list, we wanted to create a setting where every one feels like royalty", say co-owners Ray and Tonya Reed.

A husband and wife team, Ray and Tonya have an exceptional talent for generating new trends and fostering relationships with emerging designers. Close relationships with fashion manufacturers, designers and stylists throughout the United States and internationally, has been a business methodology that has served Uncle Funky's Daughter well.

Lovingly known as "Houston's funky little secret", Uncle Funky's Daughter is a fashionista's paradise where anyone can indulge in an all natural makeover. "Our clientele is hip, eclectic and multicultural. We service an array of lifestyles, individuals and groups from the fashion industry, professional sports, fashion savvy soccer moms and Rice Village locals. Being in a robust shopping district has afforded us clientele from Galveston to Tokyo. Some Saturday evenings we delight clients to a live DJ spinning 70s and 80s tracks and offer mixed drinks with 20% off clothing. Instead of a bar or restaurant full of smoke, our spot has really become quite the social scene."

"We always set out to establish Uncle Funky's Daughter as a true lifestyle experience, our goal has been to avoid becoming just another store," Tonya says. "We named the business in honor of my late father; a creative, free-spirited man whose love for funk, soul music and 70s fashion awarded him the family moniker "Uncle Funky."
